Seismic exploration is one of the leading methods of geophysics, applied to investigate the structure, the structure and composition of rocks. Crustal seismic survey is a recognized method of its study. The main and most effective area in which seismic search is applied is search for oil and gas deposits. To date, it is difficult to imagine search and exploration of hydrocarbon deposits without seismological exploration. Especially important is its role in the search for deposits in the sea and ocean.

When searching for deposits at sea, the seismic exploration is practically the only (and very effective) method of research. For this reason, the volume of marine seismic exploration worldwide currently exceeds the volume of work on land more than four times, and this figure is increased from year to year.

The main tasks to be solved

Seismic studies MOU -CMP and KMPV are hold at depths of up to 500m and are used to implement traditional areal marine seismic surveys and monitoring developed sea deposits. Basis of the method – getting geological and geophysical information about cytological properties of the section based on modeling of the spread of sound wave.

The principal innovation is the use of bottom seismic signals registration systems, equipped with hydrophones and geophones. This system has some significant advantages compared to traditional technique.
